The term “double dipping” has enough negative implications on it own. Originating as a term that refers to the act of placing a snack chip into the community dip and taking a bite then, dipping the same bitten chip back into the community dip.

To apply that mental image to what an individual is doing by taking their retirement and working is just wrong. Also it is misapplied, as the retirement benefit comes from a different account than that of the salary, i.e. two different dipping bowls, and two different chips. And even if they came from the same account, it is still two different chips.

To make someone feel like, or to imply that someone is doing something wrong for taking a retirement that they have earned for years of service. And then due to whatever personal circumstances they feel the need to work again in the profession that they are experienced and educated in is just shameful. There is no difference in a person working as a teacher and receiving a previous retirement than in any other profession.

What the problem is is that other teachers are envious of the teacher that is drawing the retirement. The non retirement teacher sees the other teacher as “making” twice as much for doing the same job. When in reality, the retirement teacher is “making” the same amount of money for teaching; he/she is just receiving the extra money as part of a retirement package for years of previous service. I is a simple case of jealousy.

Seriously, who needs to know this stuff? I mean if they want to put the information out there, fine. But who thinks McDonalds is health conscious? Really, who goes to Dunkin Doughnuts with staying on their diet in mind, or Outback Steakhouse for that matter? I know most places have what they call “Healthy Choices” on their menus, but just how healthy are they? Once you put the dressing on the salad, or the sauce on your “naked burger”. And, if you can fool yourself with these menu choices, you are probably not sticking to any kind of real diet. And most people know that “diets” don’t work, you need to make a change in you eating habits for the long term, most so called diets are not sustainable over the long term.

Most people who are health conscious know what is and isn’t good to eat and they know how to order what they want when they go out to eat. But this is just one more way that this Health Care fiasco is going to cost us, you and me, more money. The Government and more specifically President Obama and his socialist buddies need to keep their hands off my Wendy’s Baconator. I know it’s not going to help maintain my boyish figure (if you know me you know how funny that is) because that’s not why I eat it. And I have no illusion of the health content of the Wendy’s, McDonalds, Burger King, snack machine or any other menu at any other place I go to eat. And if you don’t know that these places are not to be used as a substitute for regular meals cooked at home, then you have a bigger problem than unhealthy food.

I would say survival of the fittest should apply here, but the obese children in this country are the ones who suffer not the crappy parents who feed them this stuff. Parents that feed their children foods so high in fat, salt, sugar, & cholesterol, that they use up their daily if not weekly allowance in one meal should be charged with child abuse. I see kids every day that are so fat they can barely walk a straight line they waddle so badly. Their feet look flat and squashed in their shoes, and their ankles are not visible due to the fat. Regulation is no substitute for bad parenting, and as we have seen you can’t regulate behavior into change unless the people want it to change. Adults have the choice to eat what they want when they want, and that is how it should be. This is The United States of America, we are free (for now) and we like it that way. But parents have a responsibility to guard their children from danger, and when the danger comes from within, who will do it?

In the wake of leaked e-mails that show planned manipulation of data, and cover up. Mr Phil Jones former head of the CRU has dismissed the claims of “climate gate” as “complete rubbish”.

Mr Miliband, the Climate Change Secretary, warned against attempts to “throw dust” in people’s eyes over the issue.

“We must resist that, and keep listening to the science and not subscribe to people who are frankly flat Earth-ers,” he said.

“There will be people that want to use this to try and undermine the science and we’re not going to let them.”

Mr Miliband supported the need for an inquiry to find out the full truth behind the theft and content of the emails. But he insisted the crisis does not cast doubt over the main body of science on global warming.

“We need maximum transparency including about all the data but it’s also very, very important to say one chain of emails, potentially misrepresented, does not undo the global science.

“I think we want to send a very clear message to people about that.

“The science is very clear about climate change and people should be in no doubt about that.”

That’s it, if you keep saying it is true people will believe it, don’t look at the evidence. Don’t look at the fact that the data was changed just focus on the fact that we are the scientists and they are thief’s. Not only did they take the e-mails but they are misrepresenting the contents. Now our President wants to be a part of it.

Read and judge for yourselves, don’t be a sheep. Wake up America, if this is the change you voted for, then you deserve it.

He is lucky that thats all he got, if in fact the SEALs did it at all, he was temporarily transferred to Iraqi custody where the claim was made. Even with a break in custody, which raises it’s own set of questions, so what if this guy got a fat lip during his capture. I’m sure he claims he was handcuffed and in custody before it happened, but what terrorist wouldn’t.

What are the soldiers supposed to do when they are capturing a terrorist or any enemy combatant, say “well now Mr. Terrorist would you please come on over here and give up quietly so I can take you off and put you in jail where you will await trial, please hmmm, pretty please.”

This is a joke, in our current age of “I’m sorry you are a terrorist maker of man made disasters.” The PC meter is off the flippin chart. The Obama administration has got it wrong, we don’t need to get softer on these creeps, we need to get harder. You don’t let up on an enemy when you are making progress, there is no “time out” to be called.

Now I know that there are people out there chomping at the bit to throw up the Third Geneva Convention, but unless you know what it is about or contains you need to Read it. There are specific conditions that must be met in order to qualify for the treatment reserved for persons that are captured, and these terrorist don’t meet any of them. Now again I know there are those out there that say you are being picky throwing up “rules and conditions.” And to them I say thats right, if you want protection under the Convention abide by the Convention.

So as for the fat lip, if it is true, is no big deal. This guy is lucky that it was a SEAL team that got him and not just a regular GI Joe. These guys knew not to kill him due to intelligence he might have. He could have been one of those people shot and killed in a “firefight” and never got to complain about the fat lip. How about “thanks for not killing me fellas”. Oh thats right, thats what they want, to die as a martyr, I say oblige him, and save the hassle.

Stanley McChrystal, his top Afghan war commander. McChrystal had been in London for a speech, and he made the relatively short trip to Denmark to meet with Obama.”

Wow! 25 whole minutes, how does he do it? How much do you think that the meeting with the General helped. I mean a 25 min meeting that the Gen. had to make a trip himself to Denmark for could have probably been made on the phone for a lot less money. Once again this President has demonstrated that he is not in touch with the average American.

The President making this trip while telling us that he will save us money on healthcare, is to me just like the automaker CEO’s flying private jets to ask the government for money. Not real bright!

President Barack Hussein Obama, you should stick to being president, as hard as that may be. You should not be using your office to lobby the I.O.C. for your hometown. This is an abuse of power and a waste of the American Taxpayer money, how dare you use Airforce One and all of the expenses that go with it, fuel, staff, food, and anything else you could cram into it, like reporters.

This shows an utter disregard and lack of interest and sense or urgency to the situations in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Iran. Do you job, Mr president! Leave the Olympics alone, it’s not your concern. You have other much more important things on your plate. Also Michelle Obama has already gone to Copenhagen ahead of him, how did she get there? Did the Obama’s pay her way? Or did Oprah pay her way, yeah she’s there too, that alone should sink the Olympic ship! Or as I suspect did we the American public, pay her way to Denmark.

This guy drugged, and rapped a 13 year old girl, and admitted it on tape. Then the coward fled the country. I don’t care how much time has passed, if someone were to do that to my child I would not rest until they were prosecuted or I died. And for anyone to excuse the actions of this piece of trash for his crime because “it was a long time ago” is ridiculous. And this is why I don’t like plea deals, he was convicted of a lesser charge “statutory rape” for a guilty plea.

So as for Whoopi saying ” it wasn’t “rape ” rape”. What other type of forced, drugged up, unwilling sodomy is there. I mean, just because she didn’t say NO, she didn’t say STOP, she couldn’t say no or stop, is that what makes it “not rape” to Whoopi. Because she may have gone there willingly it was ok to drug her and take away her ability to choose, I thought liberals were all about “pro choice.” Is that what made it “not rape” to Whoopie.  And he didn’t just have “normal sex” with her as she lay there drugged out of her mind. And what would these hollywood losers be saying if they were related to this girl, or if she were black. What if it were not some creepy movie guy, say it was a Republican politician, these same people would be calling for his return to face trial.

Also, forgiveness by the victim does not negate the crime or the need for  punishment. And since there is no statute of limitations for jumping bail, he is still a fugitive from justice. And it’s not like he was hiding out in a cabin in the woods, living in fear for his life. He was living the good life in France, the natural habitat of cowards, while the girl he rapped had to deal with what happened her.

I say bring him back, and put him in a cell with someone who enjoys the same type of extracurricular activities as Roman did.

Some argue that if the ticket were issued by an actual police officer the violation would be documented and the fine paid and the behavior corrected. I say, maybe, maybe not. If you are someone who violates the same law every time you drive it has become a habit. You are unaware that you are violating the law and one ticket from a police officer may stop you for a couple of days it is most likely that you will return to your conditioned behavior, if not it would be easier to break bad habits.

So I like the cameras, at least for now since I have not been ticketed, but I also drive very carefully and almost never break the law, or at least not intentionally. I recently watched a local news program where they had a lawyer and a consumer tax advocate on along with the public information officers of the city of Lakeland, and the Lakeland police department.

I sent an email that did not make it on air so here it is, it sums up my view of this episode.

This is a problem that goes far beyond these slutty Bratz dolls. I find that a lot of parents are oblivious to what their children do and see. When I ask parents if they are aware that the video game they are renting for their 10 year old is rated “M” for mature. They say, what is that? I say, it is a warning from the ESRB (electronic software ratings board) designed to help you choose age appropriate games for your kids. When they find out that the game has Strong language, sexual themes, blood and gore etc. They will often rent something else. Our children are bombarded with this type of information from all sides, at home on TV, at school from other kids who’s parents either don’t know or don’t care, radio, and movies.

Some say, well they are going to see it somewhere. That is an attitude that I cannot stand, and I have gotten more that one complaint from my responses. I try to be gentle by sometimes it is very hard. I say, just because they might see it somewhere, does that mean you have to teach it to them. Would you let you 10 year old light up a cigarette, or a joint. Would you let them kick back a beer, or a shot of liquor? What kind of logic is that,because they may see it somewhere else that it is ok to let them do it at home? Some get quiet, some change their tune, and yes some get mad. I don’t know if they are mad that I had to point it out to them that they were not paying attention to their kid, or if they were just upset that I said anything at all.

If you teach your kids to dress like sluts, or hoods, and teach them to cus like criminals. Don’t be surprised when they turn out like them. It is a sad, sad state of affairs that we need to have schools specifically for pregnant teens or teen parents. Schools just for kids that are on their last chance before jail, what happened to diciplining our children? I’ll tell you what happened, DCF, ACLU, and liberals who think it’s child abuse to spank your kids butt for doing something wrong. Now real child abuse (bruises, burns, broken bones) is a different matter, however a spanking and actual punishment go a long way to deter bad behavior, and I don’t mean a time out chair.
